Yep, I'm studying Latin again. Here's an interesting Latin adjective:
Stultus, stulta, stultum: Foolish, silly. I've also seen it used to mean 'stupid'.
English derivative:
Stultify: 1. To cause to appear foolish, stupid, or illogical.
2. To impair, make dull, or have an inhibiting effect on.
3. Also, generally, when you bore someone into a state of dullness, you are being "stultifying".
